How much is a session and how can I pay?
Sessions cost $75 for 60 minutes and $110 for 90 minutes. Our clients are self-pay. Major credit cards, debit cards, HSA and flexible spending cards are all acceptable forms of payment. We do not accept insurance payments or checks.
Why choose a pastoral counselor?
Despite how counselors are depicted on TV or in books, we will not ask you to lay down on a couch, look at ink blots or expect you to recite every book in the Bible. We use a christian centered, cognitive based approach in our sessions. What that means is that we are primarily here to listen, really listen and offer our insight from the Bible. Once you are heard we aim to help you process through it to get to the best version of yourself. You were are not expected to navigate life by yourself. Periodically, we need to talk, be heard and ask for help.
How do I get started?
We offer several ways to contact us and make appointments. You may call and speak directly to Kimberley for a free 15-minute session to gauge compatibility and talk about why you would like to come in. If you happen to reach the voicemail, please leave a message. I will do my best to return messages within 48 business hours. You may also choose to contact us via email or the contact us page on this website.
What can I expect in a session?
A typical session begins in the front office where payment and necessary documents are collected. Then, we move to the counseling room where there is a couch for you and a chair for me. I will ask if you mind if we start with a prayer and then I will ask you about your day and delve into the reason for your visit. Once the mystery is gone, hopefully you will be less apprehensive.
What if I need to change or cancel my appointment?
There may be a time that an appointment needs to be changed or cancelled. We understand. However, a 50% charge or the regular hourly fee will be incurred if cancellation is not received within 24 hours of the appointment. Cancellations are accepted by phone only.
